Green Stocks Dec 20: Amid Market Mayhem, Some Green Stocks Make a Point

On a day when the market left few stocks unscathed in a broad slump, it was left to a few green stocks to hold out yet again, Starting with EPC firm KPI Green Energy, which rose 5%, to Premier Energies which somehow stayed in the green. However, the sharp drop in many others, notably SWREL which slumped almost 5%, or even the sustained drop in Adani Green Energy will worry market watchers, as these firms are seen as bell weathers for the broader sector as a whole as well.

While both have their unique set of issues to overcome, SWREL in particular has a chance to recover if its Q3 results are in line or exceed expectations. For many others like Waaree Energies, NTPC Green, and more, which have delivered stellar results in 2024 for investors in general, despite the correction seen this month, it does look like time to go into holiday mode for the rest of the trading year at least and look forward to a fresh beginning in the new year.
