Goldi Solar Bags NHDC’s EPC Contract on 8 MW Solar Plant to be Set up in MP

  • The contract includes evacuation arrangement up to DISCOM substation along with five years operation and maintenance of the plant under KUSUM-C.

Gujarat-based Goldi Solar has been awarded a project for a tender issues by Narmada Hydro-electric Development Corporation Limited (NHDC). The project is for the design, EPC contract aimed at the development of 8 MW ground-mounted solar PV plant at Sanchi district at Raisen, Madhya Pradesh.

The contract includes evacuation arrangement up to DISCOM substation along with five years operation and maintenance of the plant under KUSUM-C. This is as per the request for proposals (RFP) invited by Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL), which forms the second contract.

The total price for the entire scope of work under the first contract awarded to the firm is Rs 45,08,53,886 for 8 MW worth of capacity. The timeline for the completion of the project is seven months.  Under the contract awarded, Goldi Solar will also provide installation, testing and commissioning of plant including 11/33 KV transmission network entailing services such as storage, land development etc.

Recently, Goldi Solar had introduced Mono PERC range of DCR modules.

Madhya Pradesh is becoming a hotspot for renewable projects. Recently, Invest Madhya Pradesh-Global Investors Summit was also held in the State and a slew of announcements were made on the forum. Three floating solar projects worth Rs 75,000 cr are coming up in the state. These are in addition to the 600 MW floating solar project already being developed at Omkareshwar Dam in Khandwa district. State Minister Hardeep Singh Dang held that Madhya Pradesh is mulling to contribute half of India’s 500 GW target in renewable energy, a target set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
