NTPC REL Issues Solar EPC Tender To Develop 300 MW Solar Project Anywhere In Goa

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has issued a tender offering an EPC package with land for the development of a 300MW Grid-Connected solar project anywhere in Goa. The bids for this project will close on August 26, 2025.

The renewable energy arm of NTPC, under the scope of the tender, mandates the winning bidder to undertake EPC activities. The scope of the project includes the supply of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules and commissioning of the plant, anywhere in Goa.

The scope includes the following:

  1. Identification, acquisition, and complete transfer of ownership/lease of encumbrance-free land in favor of NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd.  
  2. Identifying and arranging the Grid connectivity at the interconnecting grid substation.
  3. Design and Construction of foundation & erection of Module Mounting Structure (MMS) for SPV panels, including fixing of PV Modules on MMS and PV Modules interconnection.
  4. All associated EPC works required for development of Solar PV projects along with power evacuation system and telemetry up to interconnecting grid substation (i.e., transformers, panels, protection system, cables, metering, facilitation for grid compliance study as per regulation, etc.) as per detailed technical Specifications and applicable technical standards.

Goa projects ₹325 Cr Turnover For Solar Sector By 2027

NTPC REL’s latest tender aligns with Goa’s long-term solar targets. Speaking at a recent conference organised by the Solar Power Association of Goa (SPAG), its president, Sandeep Naik, said the state’s solar sector is poised for major growth, with turnover projected to rise nearly ninefold to ₹325 crore and employment expected to reach 9,000 jobs by 2027.

Naik said the central government has already disbursed ₹13.5 crore in subsidies through the state and another ₹5.37 crore directly to beneficiaries. Goods and services tax (GST) collections from the sector, currently at ₹4.48 crore, are projected to climb to ₹39 crore by 2027.
