Both the institutes plan to strengthen the skilling process as per National Skill Qualification Framework.

SCGJ has recognized GERMI as a Centre of Excellence to foster development of skilled manpower in the renewable energy sector with emphasis on solar energy.

Praveen Saxena, Chief Executive Officer, SCGJ, and T Harinarayana, Director General, GERMI signed the MoU.

The collaboration of GERMI and SCGJ will focus on understanding and capturing the skill needs for both service users and service providers within the sector and will work on a roadmap for a nationwide, public and private sector-led collaborative skills initiative, it said.

SCGJ is in the process of identifying the skill gaps in the solar energy sector in manufacturing, business development, design, installation and maintenance.
