Gautam Solar, one of India’s indigenous solar manufacturers, has now supplied 10 BB (Bus Bar) Mono Half-Cut Solar Panels for a solar plant for the Raja Bhoj International Airport of Bhopal. The move is likely to boost the use of renewable energy to cater to the airport’s power needs in the state capital of Madhya Pradesh.

Half-cut solar panels are more efficient and advanced forms of solar panels. Due to its structural changes in the design, it enables the inclusion of more cells into the system. The solar manufacturer claimed that these panels could produce around 1.5 lakh units of electricity annually. The firm said this could lead to a reduction of 106 Metric Tonnes (MT) of Carbon Dioxide emissions annually due to the shunning of fossil-fuel-based power.

“We are proud to have supplied our high-quality 545 Wp 10BB Mono Half-Cut solar panels to Bhopal Airport for this project,” said Gautam Mohanka, CEO and Managing Director of Gautam Solar. “We are committed to providing sustainable energy solutions that are efficient and cost-effective, and we look forward to working with more organizations to help them transition to renewable energy.”

The Indian solar manufacturer worked closely with the project developer Newsol PV Power Pvt. Ltd. to ensure the panels were delivered safely and on time. The solar panels were installed on the rooftops of the airport parking area and other designated areas for the residence of airport staff, making optimal use of available space.

“Gautam Solar is a leading supplier of high-quality solar modules. Their panels incorporate innovative thinking and cutting-edge technology to address the developer’s power requirements. Moreover, they delivered the solar modules within the stipulated timeframe. We are glad to have worked with Gautam Solar for this project and look forward to collaborating in the future for more such projects,” noted Raushan Kumar, Managing Director of Newsol PV Power Pvt. Ltd.

Gautam Solar has a solar module capacity of 500 MWp and is steadily expanding to 1 GWp. Using the latest machines and technology, Gautam Solar’s solar panels are manufactured using First-hand topline machines. They are listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) published by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
