GameChange Solar, a global provider of solar rack solutions, has announced that it has signed a contract with CEEC-ZTPC, an engineering, procurement and construction (“EPC”) company headquartered in China with energy development projects in several countries. GameChange will supply solar tracker systems to support a 560 MW solar project in Egypt.

The agreement signed between GameChange Solar China and CEEC-ZTPC, a provider of solar EPC solutions in the renewable energy sector, will see GameChange Solar provide its solar tracking systems to optimize energy production for the proposed Kom Ombo solar farm in Egypt, which is being developed by Africa Middle East Asia Power (“AMEA”).

“We are excited to partner with CEEC-ZTPC on this prestigious solar project,” said Derick Botha, Chief Commercial Officer at GameChange Solar. “This collaboration underscores our shared vision to accelerate the use of renewable energy sources and drive sustainability on a global scale. We are convinced that our solar trackers will unlock the potential of this project, increasing energy yields and reducing the CO2 footprint.”

GameChange Solar will provide its Genius Tracker™ 1P 2R system for this project.

GameChange Solar has more than ten years of experience in designing, manufacturing and distributing fixed tilt and tracking systems. The company’s products have been successfully used in numerous projects in many international markets.

The US-headquartered firm’s portfolio includes the innovative Genius Tracker™, the MaxSpan™ fixed-tilt system, and the ground-mount pour-in-place™ ballasted system.

Solar Trackers remain an area in the solar manufacturing ecosystem where American firms continue to hold their own, despite stiff competition from the Chinese and other European manufacturers. Nextracker is the worldwide leader outside China and the US firms have leant heavily on a culture of innovation to sustain operations. With larger modules and bifacials providing an expanding opportunity for tracker firms, competition is expected to be intense in the category going ahead.
