Further, the scope of the project includes design, supply, implementation and maintenance of solar installations for the manufacturing plant.

Commenting on the partnership, Sumit Rathod, Director of Flair Writing Industries, said that “we are delighted to partner with SunAlpha Energy with the installation of PV system, which will surely add on to the technology upgradation in Flair Group.”

Mumbai-based Flair is manufacturing and exporting writing instruments and has strong presence in the domestic market for its products.

The company has introduced its Flair brand in 1976 and commenced its success story 4-decades back with a range of metal pens and other writing instruments. Now, it has expanded its business to over 80 countries across the globe.

“SunAlpha is extremely proud to partner with Flair Group and will contribute to their vision of superior manufacturing levels. We are one of the few industry players ideally positioned to grow in this market scenario and we are focusing on ramping up operations and swiftly increasing deployment,” said Puneet Goyal, Co-founder and Director of SunAlpha Energy Group.

Recently, SunAlpha Energy won an aggregate 2,000 kWp of capacity under the state-owned Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI’s) rooftop solar tender for government buildings.

Under SECI’s global competitive bidding for the implementation of 97.5 MWp grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system, the successful bidders and developers will install rooftop solar systems at government buildings situated in different zones of the country under the Capex and Resco models.

The company is the provider of turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and comprehensive maintenance contract (CMC) services to industrial, commercial and residential consumers in the Indian market as well as overseas. It is having its offices in Jaipur, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Singapore.
