First Project With Modules From Credence Solar Nears Launch

Yet another Gujarat-based firm has embarked on its solar journey. The latest entrant is Rajkot-based Credence Solar Panels Private Limited, a solar panel manufacture with production capacity of 200MW equipped with most modern manufacturing machinery capable of M10 and M12, (540 to 670W in mono and Bifacial) which are now certified and approved by BIS for their quality.

First Project on the Horizon

Credence Solar is being led from the front by technocrats from the industry with a wide range of experience. Their collective experience and understanding of the industry helped operationalise the plant in April 2022, and now, with their first project set to go live, the company has a key milestone to celebrate.

The first project of 500KW with 210mm 650WP is expected to commission next week in Rajkot, making it possibly the first project with higher efficiency modules by any Indian manufacture. Also, the company claims that the achieved efficiency of 21.60% with 12BB 210mm 670W is the best from India as on date.

According to the company release, the high efficiency, optimised power output, high string power along with outstanding low irradiation performance and working temperature make M12 best for the new cost-saving standards to ensure the project earning and solar energy more cost-competitive.

Credence Solar hopes to get its modules listed in ALMM soon to be eligible for use in larger and more projects.

The firm claims that it has met high demand for its output and as on date the line is almost booked. New machinery is on the way to gear up the capacity and in the next six months Credence Solar hopes to join the i500MW club.
