EPC companies avoid installation of safety life line system: Paras Madan, CEO, Arista Support

Tell us about the inception of ARISTA Inc. What prompted your entry into the market?

I have formerly worked with big brands in India, and then went on to work with solar companies. After my last assignment with Larsen &  Toubro, I started my own venture Arista Support INC.

Four years ago, when we started the safety products business, the situation differed from the current scenario. Many solar developers and EPC players were reluctant to go for safety life line on solar rooftop projects. There was a shortage of suppliers to deliver the material on time. There was also a lack of trained workers with the expertise to work in the sector.  It took efforts to convince clients for the safety of human lives, who are working on shed just for small payouts.

Being a costly product and due to limited suppliers, EPC companies avoid the installation of a safety life line system. As mechanical engineers, we understood the market and did the reverse engineering of the product, came out with multiple alternate solutions at very reasonable prices. We believe in the safety of human life and zero accident.

How competitively priced are your products and who are the major clients you supply to?

Competitors were selling safety products at around INR  1400 per meter and we drastically changed the market and started selling at INR  600-800 per meter (SS 304 ). We are working pan India with multiple big brands, such as Jakson, Hartek, Prozeal, Cummins, Tafe, IOCL, IGL, Havells, Revayu, Hinduja, Hero, Revayu, Fourth Partner, BU Bhandari, SLNKO, Sun Source, JBM, SunGreen, Asun, Fritt Solar, Sun Pure, Lit Solar.

How rigorous are the testing procedures of the safety equipment offered by your firm?

ARISTA Support INC. is ISO 9001:2015 certified and EN 795-certified company. We undertake product testing every quarter, sending test results along with proposals / Invoices. We also conduct  on site load testing as and when required by the client.

Our safety gears include Horizontal SS Safety Life Line, Vertical SS Safety Life Line, Hand Rails MS Painted / HDG, Sky Light Protection MS Painted / HDG.
