Envision, SUN Terra Sign Pact to Expand ESS Collaboration By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, Jun 5th, 2025 Envision, SUN Terra Sign Pact to Expand ESS Collaboration Envision Energy has signed a strategic partnership with Indonesia’s SUN Terra to collaborate on energy storage technologies and solutions across Southeast Asia, India and Australia, the companies said on Wednesday. The agreement covers cooperation in procurement, localized assembly and manufacturing, technology licensing and delivery of energy storage systems. The two companies aim to build a full-chain energy storage ecosystem, targeting regional deployment and the scaling of storage technologies. Envision Energy, a China-based green tech company, said the partnership is intended to enhance regional supply chains and promote localization of manufacturing in support of energy transition goals. “SUN Terra’s local presence and development experience complement our capabilities in energy storage,” said Kane Xu, Senior Vice President at Envision Energy. “This collaboration will support the growth of energy storage markets in Southeast Asia, India and Australia.” Karina Darmawan, Chief Executive of SUN Terra, said the partnership would contribute to domestic production and technology transfer in Australia and India, while supporting deployment in Indonesia. SUN Terra is a renewable energy subsidiary of Indonesia’s Sinar Mas Group. The company develops large-scale solar and energy storage projects and offers integrated lifecycle management solutions across multiple markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
