DMIDC Starts Commercial Operations of 1 MW Solar Power Plant in Rajasthan

The 1 MW solar power unit is a part of project by the DMICDC which also includes a 5 MW model solar plant using thin film technology sourced from Japanese firm.

Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Corporation (DMIDC) stated that its 1 MW smart micro grid solar power plant in Rajasthan has started commercial operations.

The project demonstrates integration of solar power with backup diesel generators and the plant has started supplying power to its first industrial consumer Mikuni India, DMIDC said in a statement here.

The 1 MW unit is a part of a larger project by the DMICDC which also includes a 5 MW model solar power plant that uses thin film technology being implemented in partnership with Japan’s state-run New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). Japanese firms are supplying solar panels and equipment for the project.
