Datta Power Infra Private Limited has transitioned into a full-fledged Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company, following the successful commissioning of two 2.52 MW (AC) ground-mounted solar projects in Rajasthan under the central government’s PM-KUSUM scheme.

The solar installations, located in Bhagwa village in Barmer district, mark a total capacity of 5.04 MW (AC). An additional 43 MW of solar capacity is scheduled for commissioning in the coming months under the same scheme.

Solar, Wind & RTC Projects

The company has formally launched its EPC subsidiary, Power Sprout Solutions (PSS), which will execute projects across solar, wind, hybrid, and round-the-clock (RTC) energy segments. PSS currently manages an EPC order book of 600 MW with a workforce exceeding 200 employees.

“Our Bhagwa plants reflect our core EPC competencies and dedication to building reliable renewable energy infrastructure,” said Gnanajothi Anandan, Head – EPC, Datta Infra. “We have 43 MW of additional PM-KUSUM solar capacity in the pipeline and are preparing for construction of 120 MW of wind projects awarded by SECI and SJVN.”

Bhagwa solar plants

The Bhagwa solar plants will supply power directly to the local State Grid Sub-Station, enabling uninterrupted irrigation services for farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity in the region. Datta Infra will oversee operations and maintenance of the plants for 25 years.

Datta Infra’s total order book stands at ₹2,800 crore, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 50%. The company is also expanding into sectors including waste management, biogas, and hydro storage as part of its long-term diversification strategy.

In 2024, the firm signed a ₹1,500 crore MoU with REC for 500 MW of renewable projects and a ₹5,000 crore MoU with the Rajasthan government to expand green infrastructure in the state.

With a growing presence in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, Datta Infra is positioning itself as a pan-India player in the renewable EPC space, aligned with India’s target of 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
