Also, the solar power generated through such projects will be utilized for government buildings at different locations in the state.

According to the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (CSERC) (grid interactive distributed renewable energy sources) Regulations, 2019, consumers can set up a solar energy project (Renewable energy system) under net metering, directly or via Resco model i.e. the generated solar power will be utilized for captive application and the surplus power will be injected into the grid, subject to fulfilment of all the technical requirements.

It’s objective is to fulfil renewable purchase obligation (RPO) via procurement of solar power by the distribution licensee and proliferates the solar rooftop projects in Chhattisgarh.

As per the tender details, the grid-connected projects may be either one or combination of – grid-connected net-metered systems; and grid-connected systems for consumption within premises in line with the CSERC Regulation 2019.
