Coal India Subsidiary Tenders for 150 kW Rooftop Solar Plant

CMPDI, a subsidiary of Coal India has issued a tender for the commissioning of a 150 kW rooftop solar micro-grid power plant at the firms’ Ranchi office.

Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL) has issued a tender for the commissioning of a 150 kW rooftop solar micro-grid power plant at the firms’ Ranchi office.

The scope of work for the selected developers will include the supply, installation, commissioning, testing of 150 kWp rooftop micro-grid solar power plant. The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive maintenance services for the plant for a period of 5 years from the date of successful commissioning. The project developers will have a period of 270 days to complete the work on the project.

The last date for bid submission is January 6, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on January 7, 2019. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 76.62 lakh and all bidders will be required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 95 thousand along with their bids.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process the bidder must have experience of having successfully completed similar works, as a prime contractor, during the last seven years:

i. Three similar completed works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40 percent of the estimated cost put to tender. Or

ii. Two similar completed works each costing not less than the amount equal to 50 percent of the estimated cost put to tender. Or

iii. One similar completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 80 percent of the estimated cost put to tender

Furthermore, the average annual turnover of the firm should be at least 30 percent of the estimated cost put to tender, during the last three years.

In November, CIL had issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) inviting proposals from interested solar power developers and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors for setting up of 100 MW solar energy plant in Chattisgarh.
