CleanMax, Toyota Tsusho to Supply Clean Energy to Japanese Firms in India

CleanMax, a Brookfield-backed company, and Toyota Tsusho India Private Limited (TTIPL) have entered a long-term partnership. TTIPL, a subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Japan, and a member of the Toyota Group’s new partnership entity, aims to leverage synergies between both companies to develop and operate 300 MW of renewable energy projects for corporations by March 2028.

The newly created entity will serve as a platform for clean energy adoption for corporates in India through long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs), catering to Japanese corporates in India. The partnership will provide green energy solutions to each company’s needs, including rooftop solar projects, stand-alone ground-mount solar or wind projects, wind-solar hybrid projects, and carbon credits.
