TBEA Sunoasis, one of the China’s major EPC firm has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for building two 500 megawatts photovoltaic power plants with the 2 Egyptian government agencies.
Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation along with Egypt’s Minister of Military Production have signed the MOU with Vice Chairman of TBEA, Mr. Shin Bin, at a ceremony in Egypt on 27th July.
The Memorandum of Understanding states the support for local production of polysilicon through to PV modules and offer on-going training in the construction of major solar power plants.
The MoU does not mention timelines for the projects and no further developments on a domestic PV manufacturing sector were provided.
