CEL Tenders for Solar Power Evacuation in Maharashtra

CEL has issued a tender for the commissioning of solar power evacuation infrastructure in the state of Maharashtra.

CEL Solar Evacuation Maharashtra

Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible firms for the commissioning of solar power evacuation infrastructure in the state of Maharashtra.

The Scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, supply, engineering, procurement, erection, testing, construction, civil works and commissioning of solar power evacuation in the state of Maharashtra. The selected bidders will have a period of 120 days to complete the work on the project.

The last date for bid submission is December 2, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. However, only those bidders are eligible to quote who have received e-mail from MMD, CEL along with this tender document. All prospective bidders will also be required to submit Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 8.07 lakh with their bids.

To be eligible, the bidders should have experience of minimum 10 years as a prime contractor in the construction of work of similar nature of work as per the requirements of the tender, i.e. supply erection test, construction, erecting, testing, commissioning and new substation bay 33/11 kV or above voltage class OH/UG HT line and the related work.

The bidder should also have experience of execution of a turnkey contract in the last three financial years in a composite contract prior to the date of submission of bid:

  • Experience of constructing minimum one number of 33/11 kV full GIS substation,
  • Minimum 2 substations of 33 kV or higher voltage class with minimum 5 MVA X-mer capacity with a minimum one year of proven operation,
  • Minimum 35 km route length of 11 kV or higher voltage overhead/ underground and all components of electrical works mentioned above.

Furthermore, the bidders should have an annual financial turnover in the last three financial years equivalent to 100 percent of the estimated cost. And a net worth equivalent of 10 percent of the estimated cost.
