CEL Tenders for Supply of 5 MW Solar Modules for Maharashtra Projects

CEL tenders for the supply of 5 MW multi-crystalline solar PV modules, to be supplied at various substations in various districts of Maharashtra.

The Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has issued a tender for the supply of 5 MW multi-crystalline solar PV modules (72 Si solar cells), to be supplied at various substations in various districts of Maharashtra.

The scope of work for the selected vendors will include the supply of the solar modules to the different substations in the state. The modules must be multi-crystalline with a minimum rated capacity of 335 Wp made from 72 silicon solar cells. The bidder shall be responsible for the design, manufacture/assembly, testing and supply of solar PV modules.

The last date for bid submission is January 13, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 10 lakh along with their bids.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process the bidders must be original PV module manufacturer (Indian) with an installed automated line facility for manufacturing of 30MWp per year. And the firm should have successfully manufactured and supplied Multi/Monocrystalline Solar Photovoltaic modules of 325 Wp to 350 Wp for government/ state entities.

Financially, the bidders must have a cumulative turnover of Rs. 9 crores in the last three financial years (FY 16-17, FY 17- 18 & FY 18-19).

Recently, CEL had issued a tender for the commissioning of 44 MW of grid-connected solar power generating systems ranging in capacity from 250 kW to 10 MW at various substations and locations in Maharashtra. Under this program, the agency will establish solar PV based small power plants/Solar Power Generating Systems (SPGS) with capacities approximately between 0.25 MW to 10 MW on the open, unused lands in the premises of existing substations of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The last date for bid submission on this tender is December 30, 2019.
