CEL Reissues its Tender for 50 MW Solar Projects in Maharashtra

CEL has reissued its tender for the development of 50 MW grid-tied solar PV plants ranging from 500 kW to 10 MW at various locations in Maharashtra.

The Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has reissued its tender for the development of 50 MW grid-tied solar PV plants ranging from 500 kW to 10 MW at various locations in Maharashtra.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, installation and commissioning of the solar power plants. The selected developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plants for a period of 10 years from the date of commissioning.

In July, the state-owned entity had issued the tender for the first time. The last date for bid submission on the tender was July 24, 2019.

The last date for bid submission is September 12, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 10 lakhs along with their bids as a bid security amount.

As per the new tender, only those bidders are eligible to participate in the tender who have received an email from CEL along with the tender documents. Any other bidders who wish to take up similar work in future have been requested to submit their credentials separately with CEL.

After receiving of the allocated site (s), the bidder shall submit security deposit and carry out a survey of the allocated sites including finalisation of actual plant capacity and submit the report complete with site layout drawings, structure fabrication drawing within 7 days of receipt of allocated site(s). CEL will supply a minimum 300 Wp of Solar PV Modules at designated site store provided by the bidder.

The mechanical structures, all materials supplied by the contractor, electrical works and overall workmanship of the grid-connected Solar Power Plant must be warranted for a period of 10 years from the date of Commercial Operation.

In May, CEL issued a tender, seeking bids from eligible bidders to take on the operation and maintenance (O&M) services of a 509.355 kW solar power plant installed at 33/11 kV MSEDCL substation in Nasik, Maharashtra.
