Assam Tenders for Setting up of a 25 MW Solar Plant at Thermal Power Station

APGCL has issued a tender for the commissioning of a 25 MW solar power plant at the Namrup Thermal Power Station in Assam.

The Assam Power Generation Corporation (APGCL) has issued a tender for the commissioning of a 25 MW solar power plant at the Namrup Thermal Power Station in Assam.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the solar plant along with associated transmission system. The successful bidders will have a period of 12 months for completing the work on the project. The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the plant for a period of 5 years from the date of successful commissioning.

The last date for bid submission is November 30, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on December 2, 2019. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for November 19,  2019,  to address the concerns raised by the prospective bidders. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 2 crore along with their bids.

To be eligible, the bidder should have designed, supplied, erected/supervised erection and commissioned/ supervised commissioning of grid-connected solar power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 15 MW (AC) in India during last 5 years prior to bid submission deadline. Out of which at least one Plant should be Grid-connected 5 MWp capacity or above.

The minimum average annual turnover of the bidder in the preceding three financial years as on the date of technical bid opening should be at least Rs 45 crore.

Recently, we reported that the Assam Power Distribution Company (APDCL) had issued two tenders for setting up of rooftop solar projects and an off-grid floating solar power plant in the state worth a cumulative 955 kW capacity.

The first Request for Proposal (RfP) has been issued for setting up of 940 kW off-grid rooftop solar projects at various rural primary healthcare centres (PHC) across the state. The second tender has been issued for setting up of a 15 kW off-grid floating solar plant at the Jor Pukhuri in Guwahati.
