Anchor Electricals announces the launch of Panasonic LED luminaries for Indian market

Anchor Electricals (A Panasonic Group Company) on Wednesday announced the launch of its brand new Panasonic LED Luminaries for the Indian market. Panasonic extends its range of products to the Hospitality, Industrial and Outdoor segments; expanding its folio in the Architectural and Commercial luminaires space. The company now aims at growing its presence in the above segments as well.

 The “Neue Archi” is a range of LED luminaires designed especially for the Indian market. This Range of specialty architectural luminaires comes with advanced thermal management technology, transparent thermoplastic diffuser, robust housing and high UV and corrosion resistance properties; specifically designed keeping operating conditions of India in view said the company in a statement.

 The Professional Lighting Product range includes Commercial, Hospitality, Industrial, Outdoor (Landscape) and luminaires. The Commercial and Hospitality Luminaires are equipped with Long operational life of 50000 burning hours, high surge protection of 2.5KV and wide voltage operating range from 80-330V. The  Industrial Luminaires boast advanced ingress protection (IP protection), High Power Factor and Surge Protection of 4KV that prevents the luminaire failure in case of voltage surge caused due to multiple reasons.

Dinesh Aggarwal (Joint Managing Director) said, “Indian lighting industry is a Rs. 16,000 crore market and with the current regulatory landscape has created a robust demand for LED lighting. While the LED market is growing at 130% annually, we expect an overall growth of 115% in the lighting market. The industry is undergoing a huge transformation with support from the government and statutory bodies, with a wide basket of products for assorted spaces to the sophisticated movement detecting lighting systems. The announcement comes at the right time for us as we intend to be among tthe  top 3 lighting brands in India and aim  to achieve 5% market share by 2018. Our new range of “Make for India” products is addressing the needs of high end as well as the mass lighting with focus on a quality product at a pocket-friendly price, across the entire socio-economic spectrum. All of these products will adhere to BIS standards while some will adhere to IEC standards as well.”

 Speaking to Saur Energy International at the event Aggarwal said that currently the company’s focus in on solar rooftop segment and LED lights, and planning to bring solar street lights soon. However he did not reveal the exact time frame for the launch of solar street lights.
