Airtouch Solar to Offer Robotic Cleaning Systems for Adani Green’s 150 MW Solar Project

Airtouch Solar, a developer of robotic solutions for the solar energy market, has announced the signing of an agreement with Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), to supply and install water-free robotic cleaning systems for a 150 MW solar plant in India. Under the agreement, Airtouch Solar will install robots at the site by the end of the financial year 2024 (FY24) for Adani Green.

The robotic module cleaning systems counter dust accumulation on solar panels with zero water usage. This enables higher energy generation, faster cleaning cycle, thereby enhancing the overall return on investment (ROI). The initiative will enable Adani Green to maximize energy output and reduce water usage with its association with Airtouch Solar.

He sheds light on why the product is a good fit for India market, “Airtouch shall be supplying its latest series of robots AT 4.0 for this esteemed project. This product is very well suited for the Indian soil conditions and provides most effective cleaning.”

The order is within the framework of a Master Supply Agreement signed by Airtouch and Adani Green Energy Limited. This agreement strengthens the relationship between the parties, under which AGEL, will be able to place additional orders for Airtouch systems from time to time, with the specific terms of each order, including the quantity of systems ordered, the delivery schedules and their price, to be determined individually within each order.

Adani Green boasts an operating portfolio of over 8.4 GW. It aims to reach capacity of 45 GW by 2030.

To date, Airtouch has entered into agreements with customers to install its products on facilities with a total capacity of over 6,600 MW, of which over 3,000 MW have already been installed. As on date, the firm operates, manufactures and sells its products and services in Israel and India, and is currently examining and promoting processes of entering new target markets, mainly the US.

Airtouch Solar has been on an expansion spree in India and has entered into significant agreements with several renewable energy firms such as the ACME Group, ReNew Power, Amplus Solar, among others, accelerating its penetration in the Indian market.
