Adani Green’s 100% Operating Capacity is Now Zero-Waste-to-Landfill Certified

The renewable energy division of the diverse Adani portfolio of companies, Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), has received the Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWL) certification for all of its operational capacity. The certification was provided by Intertek, which looks into assurance, testing, inspection, and certification solutions. Up until FY 22, Intertek conducted a thorough audit of the data and information.

AGEL maintains that it has a comprehensive waste management system in place at all of its operational sites and diverted 99% of waste from landfills. Since committing to the goal of becoming a Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWL) Certified Company for its whole operational capacity by 2024–2025, the firm adds that it has met the relevant Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and made sure that waste is disposed of in the most ecologically responsible way possible.

With a view to address issues relating to environmental protection and public health, the firm has been developing extensive waste management procedures across all active business locations. Additionally, the corporation seeks to reduce waste production while also practicing material reuse and recycling both directly and through approved contractors. The involvement and dedication of individuals from all levels within the business, inculcation of necessary storage and disposal methods of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and standardisation of waste management policy across all operational sites are just a few of AGEL’s best practices, the firm shared.

Earlier, Australia-based Cavendish Renewable Technology (CRT) announced the signing of a Technology Development and Licensing Agreement with Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL). ANIL is owned by the Adani Group.

Additionally, The Adani Group’s renewable energy company, Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL), announced that its third hybrid power plant in Rajasthan, with a 450-megawatt capacity, had been placed into operation. Adani Green Energy’s hybrid plant, with a total of 1,440 MW capacity, has the greatest operational hybrid power-producing capacity.
