Adani Green Operationalises 185 MW Wind Plant in Gujarat’s Khavda

Adani Green Energy Limited has operationalised a 185 MW wind power project at Khavda, Gujarat, increasing its total renewable energy capacity to 17,472.2 MW.

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has operationalised a 185 MW wind power project at Khavda in Gujarat. The project has been commissioned through Adani Green Energy Limited’s wholly-owned stepdown subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Twenty Five C Limited.

The company confirmed that the project achieved operational status on February 28, 2026. Power generation from the facility is scheduled to begin from March 01, 2026, subject to requisite clearances.

Portfolio Capacity Rises to 17,472 MW

With the addition of the 185 MW wind installation, AGEL’s total operational renewable energy generation capacity has increased to 17,472.2 MW. The commissioning aligns with the company’s ongoing expansion strategy across solar and wind assets in high-resource regions.

Khavda: a Renewable Hub

Located in Khavda, in the state of Gujarat, the project benefits from strong wind resources and established transmission infrastructure. A 30 GW plus plan for Khavda makes it the largest such solar park in the world, as the region emerged as a focal point for large-scale renewable energy development due to its favourable climatic conditions and land availability.

In the past year, plans announced for Khavda have turned into reality, as multiple renewable project commissionings have been announced for the region.

Recently, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited declared the commercial operation date (COD) of 165 MW of solar capacity at the Khavda, the second tranche of the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project project.
