Adani Green Energy Arm Awarded 150 MW Solar Tender in Gujarat

Adani Green Energy in a recent regulatory filing has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Adani Renewable Energy Park (Gujarat) has been awarded a tender to set up 150 MW of solar power projects in the state of Gujarat.

The project is expected to be commissioned by October-December quarter of the 2020-21 financial year.

According to the regulatory filing, “Adani Renewable Energy Park (Gujarat), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy (AGEL), has been awarded for setting up 150 MW solar power project in the tender issued by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) to be developed in Gujarat”.

“The fixed PPA tariff is Rs 2.671 kWh for a period of 25 years. The project is expected to be commissioned by Q3 FY 2021. With this, AGEL’s portfolio of renewable generation capacity in India stands at 4.31 GW with 1.97 GW operational projects and balance 2.34 GW in the development stage,” Adani Green Energy said.

Earlier this month, Mahoba Solar (UP) Private Limited, another wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy was awarded 390 MW of capacity in hybrid renewable energy project. The tender for which was floated by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

The project is expected to have a solar generation capacity of 360 MW and wind generation capacity of 100 MW, it said in a BSE filing.

The company also informed that another one of its subsidiaries, Adani Renewable Energy (KA) Limited, has commissioned a 12 MW Wind Power Project on February 4, 2019, in the state of Gujarat.

Recently, Inox Wind Limited, one of India’s leading wind energy solutions provider, received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Adani Green Energy, a part of the Adani group and a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) to develop its wind project.
