ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned an additional 75 MW of renewable energy capacity at its Sikar Solar Project in Rajasthan. This adds to the previously commissioned 165 MW at the site, bringing the total operational capacity at the project to 240 MW out of a planned 300 MW. With this addition, ACME Solar’s total operational renewable energy capacity has reached 2,806.4 MW.

Located across approximately 1,300 acres in Bikaner, Rajasthan, the Sikar Solar Project is situated in one of India’s highest solar irradiation zones, offering favorable conditions for solar power generation.

Electricity generated at the site is collected at inverter stations and transmitted through a dedicated 220 kV single-circuit transmission line to the Bikaner-II grid. The project is financed by PFC Limited and, once fully commissioned, is expected to generate around 780 million units of clean energy annually.

The 300 MW capacity was awarded to ACME Solar under the SECI-ISTS XVIII scheme at a tariff of ₹3.05 per unit. The tariff has been adopted, and the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is expected soon. In the meantime, power from the commissioned capacity is being sold through power exchanges at merchant tariffs.
