Industry-wide, energy efficiency is becoming more urgent as businesses seek out ways to decarbonize in the face of rising energy costs and demand from the public to advance sustainability as well as pressure from consumers, employees, and governments.

Energy efficiency is undoubtedly on the minds of CEOs throughout the world, according to a recent poll conducted on ABB’s behalf. According to the findings, 54% of industrial leaders intend to reach net-zero emissions over the next five years, and 89% of those polled indicated they would boost their investment in their operations’ energy efficiency.

ABB, on the other hand, decreased its activities’ greenhouse gas emissions in 2021 on an annual basis by about 28%. ABB declared in its comprehensive Sustainability plan 2030 that the company would become carbon neutral by the end of the decade.

ABB has pledged to assist its clients in lowering their annual CO2 emissions (energy efficient) by at least 100 megatons by 2030. This is the equivalent of eliminating 30 million combustion-powered vehicles off the road annually. The ABB Energy Efficiency Movement brings together an ecosystem of like-minded industry leaders to advance decarbonization initiatives with partners like Microsoft, Deutsche Post DHL Group, and Alfa Laval.

Asea Brown Boveri Ability solutions are driving a variety of industrial use cases that assist organisations in optimising how they use energy in powertrains, facilities, and other physical assets using Microsoft Azure’s platform-as-a-service functionality, AI, and machine learning-based analytics, cloud computing, and edge technologies.
