15 MW EPC Tender Issued for Wind Power Project in Gujarat

Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd (GSECL) invites bids for a 15 MW Wind Power Project (EPC Tender). This wind project will be installed at Village Panandhro, District Kutch, Gujarat. The deadline for submitting online bids is July 12, 2022.

Scope of the work included Engineering, Supply, Procurement, Installation, Commissioning, and Comprehensive O&M. The winning bidder will be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance for the next 25 years.

The estimated cost of this 15 MW wind power project (EPC Tender) is expected to be Rs 90 crores. The successful bidders have 15 months to commission the project from the date of the letter of intent.

The minimum project capacity given should be 15 MW (+5%). As an earnest money deposit, bidders will have to pay Rs 90 lakhs. Along with it, the contractor must provide a security deposit-cum-performance bank guarantee equal to 10% of the contract’s accepted value within seven days of the award of the contract.

As of the bid submission date, bidders should have operated and maintained at least one 10 MW wind farm with wind energy generators rated at 2,000 kW or above for at least one year.

For awarding this Wind Power Project, the cumulative turnover of the interested bidder should be ₹ 90 Crore for the last three financial years & should have a positive net worth during the last financial year also.

Applicable guidelines on Approved wind manufacturers will apply for the project, which means bidders must have the name and model of the wind power generator they are offering listed in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM) issued by the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), and the Government of India.

Wind energy projects, especially as part of Hybrid renewable projects with Solar are expected to emerge as a key opportunity in the wind sector in Gujarat between now and 2024.
