AAI Seeks Engineering Consultancy for 5 MW Solar Project at Calicut Airport

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has invited bids from eligible consultancy/EPC Firms having experience in solar power projects for providing consultancy on the provision of 5 MW solar plant at the Calicut Airport. The brief scope of work for winning bidders will include the engineering consultancy for the work of provision of 5 MW solar plant at the Calicut Airport. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 12,40,000 and a period of 3 months has been allotted for completion. The last date of bid submission is February 15, 2019, and the bid opening date has been scheduled for February 19, 2019. All bidders will be required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 24,800 i.e. 2 percent of the project cost. Read more>>

REC Solar Launches New Panels In Collaboration With Meyer Burger

REC Group, one of the largest European solar panels manufacturer, has launched a new solar panel at the Intersolar Europe. The new panel combines heterojunction cells (HJT) with advanced connection technology from the joint development partner Meyer Burger. REC believes this will be the world’s most powerful solar panel for rooftop customers, emerging from the company’s half-cut cell technology. The new product comes one year after the highly sought-after REC N-Peak solar panel out of REC’s innovation labs, and only a few months after the production start of monocrystalline panels based on REC’s multiple-award-winning TwinPeak technology. Adani Green Energy Arm Mahoba Solar Bags 390MW Hybrid RE Project

Mahoba Solar (UP) Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy has been awarded 390 MW of capacity in hybrid renewable energy project. The tender for which was floated by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The project is expected to have a solar generation capacity of 360 MW and wind generation capacity of 100 MW, it said in a BSE filing. With this, AGEL’s portfolio of renewable generation capacity in India stands at 4.16 GW with 1.97 GW operational projects and balance 2.19 GW in development stage. The company also informed that another one of its subsidiaries, Adani Renewable Energy (KA) Limited, has commissioned a 12 MW Wind Power Project on February 4, 2019 in the state of Gujarat. CCEA Approves Proposal For Setting Up 12 GW Solar Projects

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA)has approved the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) proposal for implementation of the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme Phase-llfor setting up 12,000 MW grid-connected Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power Projects, by the Government Producers with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) support of Rs 8,580 crore for self-use or use by Government or Government entities, both Central and State Governments. The 12,000 MW or more capacity of grid connected solar power projects will be set up by the Government Producers in 4 years period, i.e. 2019-20 to 2022-23, as per the terms and conditions specified in Government Producer Scheme. Thereby, creating an investment opportunity close to Rs 48,000 crores. Read more>>

Haryana Issues Tender For 10 MW Floating Solar PV Plant

The Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) has floated a tender for developing a 10 MW floating solar PV power plant in the state. The HPGCL will provide the site for free and the successful bidders will be operate and maintain the solar system for a period of 25 years during which they will sell the power generated to the HPGCL at a fixed levelled tariff. The floating plant will be set up at a raw water reservoir at the Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Plant (RGTPP) in Khedar, Hisar. Read more>>

SECI and Govt of Puducherry Sign PSA For 100 MW Wind Power

The Electricity Department of the Government of Puducherry has signed an agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to source 100 MW of Wind Power. The country’s nodal agency for renewables announced in a tweet. Last month, SECI signed a similar agreement with Delhi’s power distribution company, BSES Yamuna (BYPL) for sourcing 100 MW of wind power. Read more>>

Vikram Solar Bags 1 MW Floating Solar Project From Hindustan Zinc

Vikram Solar, one of India’s leading module manufacturer and solar &EPC solutions provider has bagged the project order for a 1 MW Floating solarplant from Hindustan Zinc Limited. The plant will be located at Ghosunda Dam, Near Chittorgarh,Rajasthan. This project would be one of the first MW-scale Floating projects in India for the Indian Private sector. The floating plant will contribute to saving water evaporation loss, thus resulting inconservation of water, reduce the development of algae, maintaining cleanliness of the water,and will obviously save land space. The installation will use Vikram Solar’s 330 Wp 72-cell ELDORA Polycrystalline modules. And, is expected to be commissioned by July 2019. Tender For 100 kW of Solar Inverters Issued in Maharashtra

The Pimpri Chinchwad New Town Development Authority (PCNTDA) in Pune have issued a tender inviting bids for the supply and installation of 2 numbers of 50 kW online solar inverter for solar system installed at the authority campus. The two solar inverters each of 50 kW capacity will be used for the 100 kW capacity solar plant installed in new admin building of PCNTDA. Selected bidders will also be required to provide the maintenance of the inverters, and also the installed solar panels, cabling work of solar system and other allied material for the period of 5 years. The Thoothukudi Smart City (TSCL) has issued a tender inviting bids for setting up of a 1.2 MW solar PV plant in the city. The 1.2 MW solar plant will be developed at the water treatment plant near Vallanadu (Thoothukudi-Tirunelveli Highway Solar Plant Road) in Thoothukudi Smart City Limited. The brief scope of work for selected bidders will include the design, engineering, procurement and supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage at site, site development, construction, erection and installation of equipment, testing and commissioning of the 1.2 MW (DC) Ground Mounted Solar PV Power Plant at Keelavallanadu in the state of Tamil Nadu. CEL Floats Tender For 11 MW Rooftop Solar Systems at 35 CSIR Labs

The Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has floated a tender inviting bids for the implementation of 11.12 MW of gridconnected rooftop solar PV projects at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) premises across India. The rooftop project will be developed under the government’s Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) which now has a target of 100,000 MW of grid solar power by 2022, and will be set up under the RESCO mode. The brief scope of work for selected bidders will include the site S\survey, design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar PV power system on CSIR buildings located in different states of India. The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive Operation and Maintenance of the projects for a period of 25 years after commissioning the project. Read more>>

BPDB Issues Tender For 50-60 MW of Solar Power Projects in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has issued a tender for setting up 50-60 MW of grid-connected solar PV projects at Rangunia, Chattogram. The project developer will be selected through competitive bidding process. The selected project developer will be required to arrange the financing of the project, and will develop the projects on a build, own operate (BOO) basis for a period of 20 years.
