Tata Motors Introduces Lifetime Battery Warranty for its EVs

Tata Motors has announced the rollout of a Lifetime High-Voltage (HV) Battery Warranty for its popular EV models, the Curvv.ev SUV Coupe and the Nexon.ev 45 kWh.

The new warranty, initially introduced with the Harrier EV, received positive feedback and has now been extended to benefit both new buyers and existing first-time owners of these two models, the company said.

Saving INR 8-9 Lakh in a Decade

The warranty is being offered to all private individual customers of the Curvv EV and Nexon EV 45 kWh, covering both new purchases and existing first owners. By ensuring long-term battery reliability, Tata Motors also aims to support the resale value of EVs. As per Tata Motors, the savings thus offered are estimated at INR 8 to 9 lakh over 10 years in running costs.

As part of an exclusive loyalty programme, Tata Motors is offering an additional INR 50,000 benefit to existing TATA EV customers who purchase the Curvv.ev or Nexon.ev 45 kWh.

Tata recently launched its Harrier EV SUV with a full 5 star safety rating under the Bharat NCAP crash tests, making it among the safest electric vehicles in the Indian market today.
