Chinese solar and energy storage solutions major Solis recently launched its latest advanced power hybrid inverter, ‘S6’. The company said that these inverters could work well with both lead acid batteries and lithium-ion batteries.

Solis said that the S6 inverters allow automatic switching of UPS and up to 10 seconds of 200 percent surge of power backup overload capability. In addition, the firm said that the new product can work with single-phase and three-phase connections.

“One of the unique features of the S6 is its support for both 1-phase and 3-phase flexible connection with a maximum of 48kW in parallel. Additionally, the S6 can handle up to 190A maximum charge/discharge current and has six customizable charge/discharge time settings. Furthermore, the inverter is compatible with lead-acid and lithium batteries, offering multiple battery protection features,” Solis said in a media statement. The company has, however, not revealed the price of its latest product.

The company said its features make it a good solution for storing solar energy. For example, the S6 inverters could support peak saving control in both self-use and generator modes.

Solis said the launch of the S6 Advanced Power Hybrid Inverter would further augment its position as a leader in the renewable energy sector. “With its advanced features and compatibility with multiple battery types, the S6 is sure to be a popular choice for those looking to transition to clean energy,”.

Solis, which was started in 2005, now has global offices and technical after-sales service centers in multiple locations worldwide, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Brazil, South Africa, India, Mexico, Spain, Netherlands, Romania, and others. One of the few major pure play string inverter firms globally, the firm has moved to address market demand for storage and hybrid inverters in recent years, quickly building a strong reputation in these categories as well.
