Stack Engineer

The Bloom Energy Mumbai team is seeking a highly motivated Engineer to support its Fuel Cell Stack Engineering development team. The Stack Engineer will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team to improve the performance and manufacturability of current and future fuel cell stack generations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Planning and support the execution of Fuel cell related qualification testing, interpret results and implement resulting in required product improvements.
• Perform Stack autopsies & Failure analysis of failed stacks to investigate the root cause.
• Interface with testing team to timely execute stack tests and ensure all required documentation are completed.
• Define new test protocols with testing and stack team for new technology qualification.
• Support production yield data deep dive analysis and identify the failure modes and resolving them with proper failure analysis.
• Support SOFC column data analysis as and when required.
• Test data generated, should be analyzed & reported to U.S team in time and with high quality.
• Provide technical product support for fuel cell component related production failure, issues as and when required.
• Support stack system integration projects for Stack engineering team.
• Support FIT and field related column failure analysis.
• Support any special SOFC component level analysis for stack engineering team.
• Use data analysis tools like JMP and advanced statistical analysis tools to compile the results and derive conclusions.
• Assist other business critical stack sustaining projects as needed.

Key Skills Required:

• Fundamental Knowledge on fuel cell technology, electrochemistry, and impedance analysis is preferred.
• Demonstrate good failure analysis and Root cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge on writing VB scripts and excel based macros is highly preferred.
• Expertise in using statistical software like JMP, Minitab is highly preferred.
• Strong self-starter and team player with a can-do attitude.
• Strong drive for results and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

Education:

Bachelor or Master in electrochemical/Mechanical/Materials/Metallurgy/Chemical.

Experience: 

Between 1 -3 years related experience in the above mentioned field.
