Job Description

The Income Tax Analyst III position is responsible for assistance with tax compliance and tax accounting with respect to federal, state and international income tax.  The position will interface with multiple departments throughout the Company to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of federal, state and international income tax return work papers.
  • Assist with accounting for quarterly and annual income taxes under ASC 740 including FIN 48 analysis and computations for multiple jurisdictions, including gathering information and preparation of tax accrual work papers.
  • Preparation of tax account reconciliations.
  • Ensure SOx compliance through documentation and timely performance of controls.
  • Perform and document federal, state and international tax research.
  • Monitor legislative, administrative and judicial developments for changes that will affect the Company.
  • Preparation of responses and supporting documentation for federal and state tax agency notices and audits.
  • Maintenance of tax software systems including Corptax and BNA Fixed Assets.
  • Provide direction, training and coaching to tax staff and/or tax interns.

Experience:

  • Minimum –3 – 5 years of experience in Tax within Public Accounting or a Corporate Tax environment.
  • Experience with Corptax Tax Provision a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • MST and/or CPA  a plus.

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to produce quality results.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft applications including:  Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and tax accounting concepts, including experience with ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes and FIN 48, Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results.
