Senior Engineer – CFD

Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a CFD Engineer to join its world class team. This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Participate as a member of the engineering in design and development of our product, for system and  components- from concept phase to production
• Perform flow and thermal  analysis, including  rack, system enclosures and installations or our Energy Servers
• Interface with cross functional team and conduct accurate CFD models
• Utilize model prediction to evaluate design options and provide recommendations for improvement
• Participate in validations of models through representative tests and support in troubleshooting performance issues
• Create reports and present modeling results on a regular basis

Education & Experience:

• MS/ MTech in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering with background in applied CFD
• Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics & Heat Transfer
• 2-4 years of experience in an engineering company supporting product development
• Experience of at least 2 years in using engineering CFD software packages such as or similar to ANSYS Fluent/Icepak /Star-CCM /Flotherm.
• Icepak modeling experience is a plus
• Experience in Thermal analysis of the electronic system is desirable
• Familiarity with SolidWorks for mechanical design
• Skills in handling complex 3-D geometry, grid generation, and post-processing
• Ability to learn new application areas and capable of  modeling complex simulations and multi-disciplinary systems
• Strong drive for results and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills
