Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a CFD Engineer to join its world class team. This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Participate as a member of the engineering in design and development of our product, for system and components- from concept phase to production
- Perform flow and thermal analysis, including rack, system enclosures and installations or our Energy Servers
- Interface with cross functional team and conduct accurate CFD models
- Utilize model prediction to evaluate design options and provide recommendations for improvement
- Participate in validations of models through representative tests and support in troubleshooting performance issues
- Create reports and present modeling results on a regular basis
Education & Experience:
- MS/ MTech in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering with background in applied CFD
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics & Heat Transfer
- 2-4 years of experience in an engineering company supporting product development
- Experience of at least 2 years in using engineering CFD software packages such as or similar to ANSYS Fluent/Icepak /Star-CCM /Flotherm.
- Icepak modeling experience is a plus
- Experience in Thermal analysis of the electronic system is desirable
- Familiarity with SolidWorks for mechanical design
- Skills in handling complex 3-D geometry, grid generation, and post-processing
- Ability to learn new application areas and capable of modeling complex simulations and multi-disciplinary systems
- Strong drive for results and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills
