• Ensuring the implementation of applicable standards of operation and lab procedures.
• To monitor the Power plant Cycle water chemistry. 
• Planning of chemical procurement. Lab management
• Calibration of Lab Equipment’s
• Sampling and Analysis of coal/ fuel oil using ASTM/IS procedures
• Availability of Lab Equipment’s and On-line instruments
• Safety of personal and equipment
• Training of self and subordinates
• Sampling and Analysis of Ash using ASTM/IS procedures
• Material management
• Safety initiatives

Qualifications:

M.Sc.-Chemistry or BE/B.Tech-Chemical Engineering (Full time from recognized university)
