This exciting role offers opportunity to:
- Provides Technical leadership to the team to meet its project deliverables.
- Leads in building eco-design portfolio/projects in line with the current sustainability trends, future requirements and internal requirements.
- Leads the Design-For-Environment activities in PROLaunch environment and ensuring implementation of all required processes.
- Conducts life cycle analysis (LCA) using modeling software like Simapro, Gabi or EIME.
- Provides guidance for the reduction and elimination of high-impact materials. Contributes substantially to developing technical solutions for reducing the environmental impact of products
- Contributes substantially to developing technical sustainable solutions for electrical sector products and providing Environmental Product Declaration.
- Build technical capabilities as well as lead and mentor team apart from guiding both local product development and engineering services to the Global engineering needs in the field of Ecodesign.
- Collaborate with agencies, standard bodies, sustainable/eco-label certification schemes and trade associations and develop strategies to promote and defend Eaton products and business practices.
- Understand customer requirements and communicate them to other Eaton teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate.
- Monitors progress and achievements on projects. Provide regular reports on development and support activities.
- Provides expert resolution of issues and monitors integration of work.
- Finds synergies and leverages engineering capabilities across groups.
- Bachelor’s with 9-10 years’ experience / Masters with 6-7 years’/ PhD with 3 to 4 years of experience in LCA, Ecodesign and/or Sustainability Domain.
- Degree in mechanical- or electrical- engineering with a focus on energy efficiency and ecodesign. Alternatively, degree in science (e.g. chemical engineering, chemistry, physics)
Qualifications and Requirement:
- Minimum 7+ years of related experience in LCA, eco-design and energy efficiency
- "Experience in working with Global LCA network, sustainable/eco-label certification schemes and EPD associations with proven track record in Sustainability Reporting.
- ACLCA certified professional or BEE and ISO 14044:2006
- Proven track record of building technical capability and roadmaps, mentoring and coaching junior team members on technical matters.
- Experience in leading projects with multiple stakeholders in matrix organization and strong project management experience is required.
- Exceptionally strong technical knowledge in the field of ecodesign and sustainability.
- Advance MS Excel, VBA or good knowledge of programming skills/machine learning tools like Python.
- Excellent communications skills. A high degree of aptitude, creativity is required. Should have demonstrated skills in project management or certified PMP etc.
