Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) is a newly established subsidiary of state-owned Energy Efficiency Services Limited, itself a joint venture of public sector companies under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. CESL is focused on delivering clean, affordable and reliable energy. Convergence focuses on energy solutions that lie at the confluence of renewable energy, electric mobility and climate change. It builds upon the decentralised solar development experience in under-served rural communities in India, and over time, using battery energy storage, will deliver renewable energy solutions to power agricultural pumps, street lighting, domestic lighting and cooking appliances in villages. CESL will also work to enable battery powered electric mobility and its infrastructure and design business models to increase the uptake of electric vehicles in India. To enable commercialization of these solutions at scale, Convergence will employ business models that utilize a blend of concessional and commercial capital, carbon finance and grants as appropriate.

Applications are invited from eligible executives for appointment to the post of Head – Front Office on contractual basis to be posted at the Corporate Office of CESL presently in New Delhi. The Job description is as under: –

Responsibilities:

Lead engagement with external partners such as multilaterals, and other international bodies, the advisory board, members of the thought leadership unit and other policy specialists to build meaningful long[1]term partnerships on behalf of CESL.
Coordinate across unit heads and business leads on behalf of the MD Secretariat to plan implementation and track execution of the strategic framework to ensure that this is timely, focused, and value adding.
Contribute towards organisational development and introduce initiatives within the organisation such as gender parity, comprehensive ESG reporting, civil society engagement etc.
Contribute towards setting of the vision and plans for CESL to help set its strategic priorities, bringing in knowledge on market trends, improving operational performance, exploring innovations, etc.
Develop a good understanding of carbon markets, sustainable finance, energy sector innovations, just transition. Contribute to policy papers, research, and intellectual property of the CESL group.
Effective line management including learning and development, performance management, and so forth. Encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and a healthy working environment among peers.
Any other roles and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time

Qualification:

Full time Master’s degree in Public Policy

Emoluments:

Approximately CTC of 16 Lakhs per annum excluding Performance related pay, Leaves, laptop, Data card etc.

Experience and Eligibility:

A minimum of 7 years of post-qualification relevant experience majorly in the following areas:
Multilateral experience in global development by aligning programs with investor priorities, collaborating with thought leaders.
Knowledge and experience in transition, climate finance, energy innovations, systems thinking, and environment/climate change policy.
Policy writing experience will have an added advantage.
Grassroots and community development experience in designing and 3 implementing programs for rural communities.
Experience in green growth, access to finance, business environment reform, local/women’s economic empowerment will be an added advantage.
