ABB Recruitment - EIS Application Specialist – Configurators

This is a IS Application Specialist – Configurators role, reporting to the Global IS Domain Service Manager in Business Area Electrification (EL) located in Bangalore/ Hyderabad and you will be expected to partner with various business stakeholders, including external customers, for defining business requirements, establishing success criteria and launching the configurator on empower platform.

Responsibilities:

Evaluating build vs. reuse and appropriate tech stack.
Partnering with Product Managers / Digitization team member to establish requirements.
Managing the prioritization of project demands to ensure alignment with overall business value and technical solution roadmaps.
Translating business needs to Features / Epics and stories for IT team to work on in sprints.
Playing active role in application design and engage architect group as needed.
Acting as guide to development team on coding best practices & carrying out code reviews.
Establishing clear roadmap and acceptance criteria.
Delivering projects within committed project timelines.
Working with L2 teams as needed and provide workarounds / solutions to customer issues.
Collaborating well with others to solve problems and actively incorporating input from various sources.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field from an accredited university or college.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as an IT Lead and overall 10 years of experience in Dot Net (VB), SQL, Jenkins, GIT, Azure.
Good knowledge in Selenium, Configure One, Config IT & Rulestream.
Prior experience of working in configurators space / electrical domain.
Experience of delivering IT Projects end to end in an Agile development framework.
Experienced in working with remote dev teams.
Significant experience establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with IT peers, functional business teams.
Proven analytical and problem resolution skills with the ability to assess complex issues with limited information.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to IT/Application peers & business teams.
Proven track record working in coordination with system architecture teams.
Ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements.
Self-directed, motivated, able to work independently.
Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
Committed and flexible team player.
