We have recently launched a “game changing” solution called “Always on” that will help companies power their primary business operations without disruption with cleaner, more reliable electricity generated on-site with no combustion.

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This position will have responsibility for helping Bloom Energy successfully expand its international business with the goals of delivering a Partner and Installation solution that will allow the company to deploy our current product and future Hydrogen product. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company direction and overall industry.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for owning the entire bidding and proposal and offer generation process including scope, T&Cs, pricing etc.
  • Advocate for commercial strategy and tactics needed to win, including creative structures, financing solutions, risk parameters, and pricing required to meet customer requirements
  • Engage with the sales teams in all aspects of the deal making process including deal origination, contract negotiations and deal closure
  • Experience with energy project sales and technology, including familiarity with PPA and lease structures, communicating and negotiating contract provisions and integration with third party solutions.
  • Finance acumen and ability to overcome pricing and payment schedule arguments.
  • Ability to track contractual requirements of a sales deal
  • Commercial project coordination e.g. applying for and monitoring bank guarantees, insurance etc. as well as coordinating the legal, tax and insurance-related topics
  • Optimization of project profitability together with business development manager
  • Regular project reporting / project status meetings / milestone reviews
  • Able to travel as required

Skills and Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in commercial, preferably in the energy sector
  • Good understanding of the sector or Industry , like gas/power/energy
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Ability to multitask and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously
  • A willingness to travel
  • Drive for quick results with vision to see how long term strategies must unfold
  • Person must have ability to act independently and operate with a passion and appreciation for the vision and mission of the company
  • Bachelor degree required in any of the following engineering, business management, economics, technology, MBA is preferred.
