Green Stocks June 23: Alpex Solar Takes The Lead

With encouraging market indices-Nifty and Sensex, the majority of the green stocks performed well, reporting an increase in their share prices. The highest rise in share price was reported by solar manufacturer Alpex Solar. The company reported a maximum of 7% increase in its stock price. This came a day after the company reported bagging a Rs 230 solar module order.

Alpex Solar Ltd surged 7.07% to ₹1,214.00, topping the charts among solar-linked stocks. Premier Energies followed closely, rising 3.70% to ₹1,090.70, while Waaree Energies climbed 2.84%, closing at ₹3,189.00. Fellow group company Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd also gained 1.72%, buoyed by continued optimism around rooftop and utility-scale solar demand.

Among heavyweights, Adani Green Energy Ltd advanced 2.00% to ₹1,034.00, while Tata Power Ltd and JSW Energy posted smaller upticks of 0.61% and 0.60%, respectively. NTPC Green, however, edged down 0.40%, despite broader sector strength.

Borosil Renewables Ltd, India’s only solar glass manufacturer, closed 0.52% higher at ₹624.50, reflecting investor confidence in domestic solar manufacturing.
