Green Stocks July 15: Waaree RTL's Day

It was a day for some of the green stocks that have trailed peers in the recent past to play catch up, and they did it well today. While Waaree RTL stunned with an 18% jump after drifting below 1000 levels for months, Shakti Pumps also looked to return to winning ways with a strong move today. Somewhat surprising was a correction seen in Premier Energies, even as the other manufacturing firm, Waaree Energies, continued to add to its gains since the start of the month.

KPI Green continued making steady gains, as it joins the band of EPCs expected to report a strong set of results. A strong indicator of what to  expect will be out by July 17, as Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy kicks of the results season for our green pack. A good set of numbers from the EPC major will set the tone for the rest of the firms in the lack as well. 

Indications are good, considering how India added almost 5.7 GW of renewable energy in just the June month,  to top off the strongest quarter in history. Those numbers indicate a strong show to expect, including from many of the SME exchange listed solar and renewable energy firms. 

With valuations at more reasonable levels, a sharp upmove remains on the agenda for our green pack.
