ZN Shine Solarworld Signs 400 MW Supply Pact RenewSys For EPE Encapsulants Photograph: (RenewSys)
Indian encapsulant and module manufacturer RenewSys has announced a long-term supply agreement with ZNShine Solarworld Private Limited for solar encapsulants. ZNShine Solarworld Private Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Solarworld Energy Solutions Limited (collectively referred to as the “Solarworld Group”).
Under the contract, RenewSys will supply 400 MW of encapsulants between November 2025 and February 2026. This partnership establishes an alliance between RenewSys and the Solarworld Group, which is a vertically integrated solar solutions provider with more than 12 years of industry experience, a project portfolio exceeding 1 GW, and a module manufacturing capacity of 1.8 GW.
Rising Demand For EPE Encapsulants
EPE (Ethylene-Propylene-Ethylene) encapsulants are considered highly efficient materials used in the production of advanced solar modules. The agreement between the two companies is expected to support the development of high-end module technologies. “This agreement underscores the growing preference for advanced, high-efficiency encapsulation materials as module manufacturers worldwide transition to next-generation cell technologies. RenewSys’s EPE encapsulants, engineered for superior PID resistance, enhanced durability, and long-term reliability, are specifically designed to support high-efficiency architectures such as TOPCon. Their performance consistency and India-made manufacturing credentials make them a strong choice for module makers seeking both quality and supply stability,” RenewSys said in a statement.
Commenting on the collaboration, Peeyush Salwan, President, Solar World said, “With our new manufacturing setup coming online, we are pleased to partner with RenewSys for a long-term supply of high-quality encapsulants. Their reliability, technical expertise, and commitment to consistent product performance make them an ideal partner as we scale our operations and deliver superior modules to our customers.”
Avinash Hiranandani, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of RenewSys, added, “This 400 MW agreement reflects the confidence ZNShine Solarworld has placed in our EPE technology. As the solar industry moves decisively toward high-efficiency modules, we are proud to support global manufacturers with world-class encapsulants engineered and produced in India. Our commitment remains firmly rooted in driving innovation, reliability, and a resilient solar value chain.”
About Solarworld
Solarworld has a 12-year track record as an Indian EPC player, specializing in large- and medium-scale solar projects.
