Websol Energy System Ltd. said it has signed an agreement to supply up to 250 megawatts (MW) of solar modules to C.R.I. Pumps Private Ltd., a company engaged in the installation and sale of photovoltaic systems for solar-powered pumping.

Under the deal, C.R.I. Pumps will procure Mono PERC solar modules with domestic content requirement (DCR) certification in ratings of 500Wp, 520Wp, 525Wp and 535Wp. Websol said the DCR classification ensures compliance with Indian regulations requiring locally manufactured components.

“This order underlines our commitment to quality and technology,” said Sohanlal Agarwal, managing director at Websol Energy. “It also strengthens our support for India’s renewable energy goals and farmer-centric schemes like the PM-KUSUM solar pump project.”

Additional Supply Agreement with Luminous

Websol also signed a separate deal with Luminous Power Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for the supply of 100 MW of Mono PERC solar cells. The cells, with expected efficiency between 23% and 23.4%, will be delivered between April 2025 and April 2026.

Project Pipeline

Websol said its entire solar cell production for the 2024–2025 financial year is fully booked. The company is also seeing strong interest in a second production phase set to begin in July 2025.

For solar modules, Websol reported confirmed orders worth ₹1.16 billion (116 crore rupees), with deliveries planned for India, the United States, the United Kingdom and Africa.

The company operates a manufacturing facility in West Bengal and is positioning itself to serve both domestic and export markets amid growing global demand for solar technology.
