Waaree Solar Americas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies, has received an order for the supply of 540MW solar modules across the United States, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company has secured the recent order to supply 270 MW solar modules in 2025 & 270MW solar modules in 2027-2028, leading to a cumulative 540 MW solar module, it added.

Waaree Solar Americas has made a series of investment decisions. For example, the company earlier this year made an additional investment of $200 million in the United States at the SelectUSA Investment Summit hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The new investment will focus on battery energy storage systems, aimed at boosting the company’s technological capabilities and supporting the widespread adoption of cost-efficient energy solutions across the U.S.

Waaree  Solar America Previous US Order

Waaree’s after establishing its new subsidiary in America, has secured a series of International orders. The company’s expansion in America started with  Waaree Energies (Waaree), its plans to establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility in the Houston area. The facility, located in the town of Brookshire, was projected to have an initial 3 gigawatts (GW) solar module manufacturing capacity annually by the end of 2024.

The company eventually plans to invest up to $ 1 billion over the next four years to scale its annual module manufacturing production up to 5 GW by 2027, making it one of the largest solar module manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Waaree also planed to add an integrated U.S.-made solar cell facility that is expected to be operational by 2025. In total, Waaree’s new facility is expected to create over 1,500 total jobs in the US when at full capacity.

Then, earlier this year in 2025, Waaree Solar Americas, a subsidiary, received an international order for 586 MW of solar modules, the company said in a regulatory filing. The $176 million order was placed by a prominent U.S.-based developer and owner-operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, the company added. This was followed by Waaree Solar Americas securing the order from a renowned customer who develops and operates utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the United States, the company said in a regulatory filing. The supply of modules is scheduled to begin in the 2026–27 financial year, it added. It should be mentioned here that Waaree management has indicated earlier that orders in America have a longer delivery cycle as compared to India, due to more extended regulatory hurdles. The firm typically expects order cycles to be as long as 24 months or more in the US.
