Waaree Energies Gets 692 MW Solar Module Orders From India, US Developers
Waaree Energies has secured new solar module supply orders in India and in the United States (US), totaling 692 MW. In a recent regulatory filing, the company said it received orders for 220 MW, 210 MW, and 140 MW of solar modules from a renowned customer engaged in owning, developing, and operating renewable power projects in India.
Its American subsidiary, Waaree Solar Americas, also received an order to supply 122 MW of solar modules from another leading customer on October 24, 2025. The customer is a developer and owner-operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the US.
Waaree Energies Expands International Order
Internationally, Waaree shared in an investor presentation that US solar capacity is projected to grow to 500 GW by 2030, with around 18 GW added in the first half of 2025. The company also expects the US 45X tax credits for solar manufacturing to continue. Additionally, demand for power from data centers in the US is forecast to surge to 176 GW by 2035 from 33 GW in 2024, driven by major corporations shifting toward green energy — a trend that is expected to boost renewable demand.
To strengthen its position across the value chain, Waaree said it has been making strategic acquisitions, including investing in and acquiring Meyer Burger’s US solar module manufacturing assets for $18.5 million. It also plans to expand its production capacity by 2.05 GW, including 1.6 GW in the US.
