Mumbai-based Waaree Energies has recently received two major solar module supply orders in India and the United States (US). The company announced in a regulatory filing that it has secured an order to supply 210 MW of DCR solar modules from a renowned customer engaged in owning, developing, and operating renewable power projects in India.
Additionally, Waaree Energies secured another solar module order in the United States for the supply of 2,000 MW of modules on January 19, 2026. The order was received from a renowned customer who is a developer and owner-operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the United States. The company spoke about supplying the 210 MW DCR and 2,000 MW Solar modules in the Financial Year 2026-27 and from 2028 to 2030, respectively.
India's largest module maker by operating capacity currently, Waaree Energies, is expected to file its Q3 or third quarter results tomorrow, i.e., Jan 21.
Waaree Energies Adds 1.5 GW Manufacturing Capacity
Last year, in December 2025, Waaree Energies expanded its domestic production capacity by adding 1.5 GW of solar module manufacturing at its Samakhiali plant in Kutch, Gujarat. With the Samakhiali expansion, Waaree’s total solar module manufacturing capacity will be about 22.3 GW globally, including around 19.7 GW in India and 2.6 GW in the United States. Its solar cell manufacturing capacity remains at 5.4 GW, making it one of the largest cell production platforms in India.
