The initiative is expected to create 415 direct jobs and benefit from substantial government support, including a dedicated 40 MW power load, 3 MLD water supply, and assistance for a captive solar plant.

Andhra Pradesh’s Clean-Tech Investment Momentum

The Voltsun investment is part of a broader wave of big commitments attracted by Andhra Pradesh, especially in the clean energy sector.

Recent pledges from companies like ReNew Energy, Brookfield Renewables, Reliance, and Hero Future Energies reflect the state’s increasing attractiveness as one of the country’s premier manufacturing and renewable energy hubs. The CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam this November saw the state secure energy sector investment proposals worth INR 5.2 lakh crore.

Andhra Pradesh’s appeal to global investors is driven by its large industrial land banks, port connectivity, and policies. The state’s integrated Clean Energy Policy offers capital subsidies, tax benefits, and infrastructure support to empower rapid industry growth.

About RJ Corp’s Clean Energy Footprint

RJ Corp, helmed by industrialist Ravi Jaipuria, is a diversified conglomerate valued at over INR 90,000 crore, with interests spanning beverages, quick-service restaurants, dairy, healthcare, and education.

Its entry into advanced solar manufacturing through Voltsun Labs is a strategic pivot to emerging sectors. Varun Beverages, RJ Corp’s flagship, recently moved to include renewable energy generation and supply in its core business activities, seeking shareholder approval to expand into solar, wind, and other clean energy domains both in India and abroad.
