VNT Expands EV Charging Network to Power Buses, Trucks and Mining Fleets Photograph: (Archive)
Riding on India’s accelerating shift to electric mobility, VNT has announced the expansion of its nationwide sales and service network for EV charging solutions, aimed at supporting electric buses, trucks, and mining fleets.
India sold 20.38 lakh electric vehicles in FY25, a 15.7% rise over the previous year, pushing EVs’ share of total automobile sales to 7.8%. VNT said the demand surge is reinforcing the need for rugged, high-performance charging systems.
The company’s chargers, originally proven in tough mining environments, are designed to operate for 14–15 hours daily—far above the 4–5% utilization seen among peers—making them “workhorses” in the sector. VNT claims its products retain efficiency even after two years of heavy-duty usage, aided by predictive AI-based safety alerts and durability against all-weather conditions.
Its product portfolio spans AC and DC chargers from 3.5 kW to 1.2 MW, catering to commercial, fleet, highway, and mining applications. VNT also offers long-term annual maintenance contracts (5–10 years) to ensure reliability for operators.
The company is pushing for deployment of charging stations every 25 km along highways and within city networks, alongside scalable infrastructure for industrial zones, corporate parks, logistics hubs, and mines.
“With future-ready technology, a nationwide service network, and a proven track record, VNT is making India’s EV transition fast, smooth, and built to last,” said Dr. Vikas Almadi, Managing Director, and Rahul Sharma, CEO of VNT.
