In its latest tender, the Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) has sought bids to empanel developers for the establishment of 250 MW grid-connected solar power projects under the “Mukhyamantri Saur Swarojgar Yojana in the state. The Expression of Interest (EOI) for empanelment of the firms is regarding design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance during 5 years guarantee & CMC period of various prescribed capacity of Grid connected Solar Power Plant, read the tender notice.

The last date to submit the bid is February 8 while the bid will be opened on February 9. The bidders will be required to submit Rs 1million as bid security amount.

Under the tender, solar projects with capacities of 20 kW, 25 kW, 50 kW, 100 kW, and 200 kW will be installed in the state, with a tentative cumulative capacity of around 250 MW. Further, the maximum benchmark rate for a 1 kW solar project has been established at ₹50,000/kW.

As far as eligibility of bidders is concerned, the prospective bidders must possess a minimum of three years of experience in supplying, installing, commissioning, and maintaining on-grid solar power projects and 500 kW of cumulative capacity should be attained during this experience. Along with that, bidders will be required to have an average annual turnover of a minimum of Rs 1 crore over the last three years, stated the UREDA tender notice. The tender further outlines the need to follow the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List for Models and that the modules should have a minimum capacity of 300 W. The predicted electrical degradation of power generated must not exceed 20% of the maximum rated power over 25 years and not more than 10% after the initial years of full-rated output.

Uttarakhand government has been emphasising on the usage of solar power in the state. Recently, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that he wants all the government offices to have solar power panel installations in days to come.
