UP Small Industries Corporation Ltd has issued a tender for the installation of 18 KW of solar plant in Kanpur Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

The last date for the submission of bids is December 24, 2018. The tender document further clarifies that the requirement is of two units of 5 KW capacity and 4 units of 2 KW capacity. The value of the tender as mentioned in the document is Rs 24.30 lakh.

The project has to be executed in 60 days from the date of selection of successful bidder.

Earlier, National Hydroelectric Power Corporation had issued a tender for engineering procurement and construction (EPC) of a 32 MW grid connected solar PV project to be developed in Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh is one state which has been witness a constant drop in the price of solar electricity.

Earlier this month 500 MW offered by Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency had attracted the bids in the price range of Rs 3.04 and Rs 3.08 per unit.

The lowest price for the bid was quoted by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) at Rs 3.04 per unit, NTPC won 85 MW of the project.
